TJ's is currently hiring for snow clearing crew members for the winter 2011-2012 season. The job is a part time, on-call position. Which basically means you work when it snows. Ideally, candidates will have a flexible schedule, with the availability to work on short notice. TJ's does snow clearing for storms with a minimum of 1 inch snow fall, and usually after the storm has finished. Clearing is done with snow blowers and shovels, and is mostly careful residential detailed work. Shifts will be from 4 to 8 hours, depending on the snow storm and coniditions. Work may happen early in the morning or throughout the day and until midnight. This job is ideal for students, and seasonal workers that have open availability in the winter. Because of the nature of the work, pay rates will be higher than normal, in the $12 to $15 per hour range. Applicants must also be available to possibly work at least two of the winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years).
TJ's is looking for 1 to 3 crew members for snow clearing. We are also looking for crew leaders with pickup trucks with the ability to carry snow clearing equipment. These crew leaders should be responsible, able to follow orders, and work without supervision, and be able to supervise other crew members. Crew leaders will be paid at the higher end of the scale, $15 to $20 per hour range, and be reimbursed for gas mileage. Seasonal commitment required.
