Season Edging
Throughout our years of service, many customers have indicated that they would like a regular or weekly edging service. However TJ’s prices for edging, which have been set for occasional edging, make the regular edging prohibitive. For the most part, occasional edging takes a bit of time, and cleanup takes a while, thus the price stays up. The more overgrown the edges of the lawn get, the longer it takes to cut them back and clean up the mess. It doesn't take long for the grass to grow past an edge, usually less than a month of normal growth. And to be honest, while occassional edging does knock the grass back past the cement boundaries, to get a nice razor sharp edge it takes more frequent service to keep things 'in line'.
The catch 22 is, the more frequently edging is done, the less time it takes, and the lower the cost. So the obvious solution is weekly edging, which will keep the edge on the lawn and is quicker and cheaper for TJ's to do. That's where the Season Edging service comes in. For one low price, your lawn is edged weekly, at least 22 times per season. Twenty two edgings out of 26 weeks allows for rain outs or weather issues, and there will be no charge for extra edgings over the standard 22. You pay a relatively small fee up front and won’t have to worry about for the rest of the season. The frequent edgings will keep the sidewalks and driveways nice and straight and take almost no additional time during your normal mowing service.
The price will depend on the size of your lawn and edges, but on average, the rate will run $50 for the season. Which works out to about $2 per service. The edging service must be paid upfront at the start of the season. This allows you to opt for this premium service, without an increase to your monthly lawn service charges. This service will also replace the edging service offered in the discontinued Premium Package. The Season Edging program includes sidewalks and driveways as standard. Curbside and/or patio edging may be added in at additional price.
Occasional edging service or on request edging will still be available, but at the higher one time price.
If you are interested, contact TJ’s for a rate. This service must be prepaid at the start of the season. New customers that sign up during the season will be charged a pro-rated fee based on the remaining weeks of the season. You do not have to be a regular, weekly lawn customer to sign up for this service.
